Happy Easter!

A blog post 2 days in a row?? I know, I know...GO ME!

We have had a fabulous Easter weekend! Friday night we stayed in, cooked dinner, and watched a movie. Friday night was also the night that my stomach ulcer decided to make an appearance. After being in excruciating pain for roughly 4 hours, I woke Eric up at 2:30am. Luckily, he came up with the idea to take some Mylanta which did the trick and soothed the pain so that I could sleep. Phew. Thank you, hubby!

Saturday we slept in until 10 and relaxed for most of the day. I didn't really feel 100% and I took a nice little nap which was much needed after my rough night. We then headed downtown for date night which included a fabulous dinner at Liberty Tap Room and Grill (LOVE their crab dip!) and then indulged in some mouth-watering cupcakes for dessert! All in all, it was a very successful date night!

Today has been a good Easter day for us! We started off the day by going to church. We had a wonderful service and left feeling very much refreshed. Not to mention, we saw our two favorite couples from church and have plans lined up for the upcoming weekend. Both are wanting to get together Friday night so we shall see what comes out of it! Funny how a "kids-free" night makes people want to get out and hang out with friends!

We then explored Lexington a little bit since we are planning on moving out there in a year when our lease is up. We want to move out there for the convenience of friends and church. Plus, we originally had thought about moving there when we first moved to Columbia, but God had other plans and led us to the Northeast area of Columbia. We are looking forward to moving closer to our friends and all that Lexington has to offer.

After exploring a little bit, we headed home for some lunch and then it was off to the grocery store for our weekly grocery shopping. After we got home, we just relaxed, watched some basketball and baseball, and indulged in our Easter basket of goodies! Before we knew it, it was time for dinner. The Easter menu included grilled pork chops, grilled corn on the cob, and macaroni and cheese! Yum!

Now we are just hanging out, kicking back, and relaxing before the work week unfolds. We are already counting down until next weekend-time with friends and Columbia's annual crawfish festival. Until next time...
